JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), Bengaluru is a top-ranked university in India for its ever-evolving and open-minded system and quest for continued success and resilience. Over the years, the university has made conscious and concrete efforts to build on its strengths and consolidate its achievements. The university has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with A++ with a CGPA of 3.71 out of 4, leading to the status of Category-1 University with full autonomy by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Government of India, and ranked 65th by the National Institute of Ranking Framework (NIRF), Ministry of Education. JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) is ranked 5th among the top private universities in India by India Today 2023. The university is an ISO: 9001: 2015 Certified for Quality Management by TUV Nord. It is a member of the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific. It has been awarded five stars in the Young University Category in Karnataka by KSURF ICARE Ratings. The university hosted Khelo India in 2021 and won the overall championship. In Khelo India 2023, the university secured the runner-up. The University also hosted the AIU Cultural Fest in 2022.
The School of Computer Science and IT, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) was established in 2007, with the primary goal of aligning academic outcomes with evolving industry standards and to foster impactful research. The school consists of two departments: the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, and the Department of Animation and Virtual Reality. The programmes offered by the departments focus on linking theory and practice by giving a strong foundation on core and advanced computer science conceptsto the students.It endeavours to shape and develop the students into skilled professionals with practical knowledge of the various technologies and digital space.The school focuses on developing a contemporary understanding of many dimensions of the IT field and provides the students with up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends. The state-of-the-art facilities and computer laboratories provide adequate competencies in programming and software development in various computer languages. The School of Computer Science & Information Technology is also a centre for research and the research programme of the school covers a broad spectrum of areas that gives the students a wider scope of knowledge and a deeper understanding of the computer science and application fields.
