Conference Highlights :SPJIMR WISE Tech | Technology and Societal Impact Conference | TaSIC
TaSIC is a unique student-academic-practitioner conference convening diverse stakeholders interested in leveraging technology for environmental and social benefits.
The contributions, conversations, and deliberations at the conference, the first in a series of such conferences planned to be organised annually subsequently, will help set a more comprehensive future research agenda to promote socially sensitised innovations. It aims to guide managerial decisions to implement technology after careful consideration of its broader consequences. The conference will culminate with the felicitation of exemplary Indian companies for their technology-based innovations that create significant societal benefits.
Providing a distinct platform for each key stakeholder group, the conference comprises an Academic Track, a Student Ideathon, and Wise Innovation Awards.
The Academic Track, to be held on February 21, 2025, shall comprise paper presentations on key themes around technology and its impact on society. In addition to traditional track-based presentations, the academic conference will feature ‘integrative’ talks from distinguished international scholars such as Prof. Youngjin Yoo of Associate Dean of Research and Faculty, Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University and Prof. Michael Barrett, Professor, Information Technology and Innovation, Cambridge Judge Business School (CJBS), University of Cambridge.
