Inquiry-based learning (IBL) continues to be the trend within many early years program. Research shows that if facilitated appropriately, this style of learning encourages very young children to investigate in collaboration with others using different forms of communication and it enables them to make use of more capable peers to solve problem under supervision. IBL can be used both indoors, as well as outdoor. But what is it exactly? What does it look like? How can one incorporate the elements in your current setting? The workshop is an introduction to inquiry based learning (IBL) in the early years setting.
ObjectivesParticipants will be able to understand the principles of Inquiry-based learning (IBL), steps and processes to adopt on a daily basis to increase to promote children’s critical thinking.
